North Central International to Host Remodel Open House on June 9 in Spencer, Iowa
Spencer, Iowa – North Central International is proud to call Spencer home, and with a completely remodeled facility that will be featured at an open house on June 9th, they are ready to tackle the toughest customer jobs.
“The building we occupy is 45 years old, and the Fox/NCI family has been operating out of it for the past 23,” said Boone Bjorklund, General Manage of the Spencer location. “We explored building a new facility, but we wanted to keep the highway exposure and made the decision to reinvest in our current location.”
The North Central International facility located at 2808 4th Ave. W, formerly known as Fox International, is still owned by the same Fox family and recently came under the North Central International name.
“We opened in Spencer in December 1998 after purchasing the vacant building from Spencer Truck and Trailer,” said Dave Fox. “The opportunity opened for us, and Spencer was a small-knit community that we were familiar with from our operations in Sanborn and Marshall. It is ag oriented where everybody knows everybody.”
Bjorklund agrees that the Spencer location features a supportive community. “Spencer is second to none when it comes to raising a family and the community is very supportive,” he said. “We have the best customers, and we are excited for the fresh new vibe this building brings to our employees, customers and community.”
The remodel will be open to the public for an Open House celebration on June 9th. Attendees can choose when it works in their schedule to join in the celebration either from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for coffee
“As a local business that is family owned and operated, we know the importance of supporting our other local businesses,” said Bjorklund. “We had a lot of dedication to our project and had many local businesses involved in bringing our project full circle.” The remodel included work from Midstate Builders, Bjorklund Painting, Hanson’s Plumbing & Heating, Pixler Electric, Maloney’s, Denison Drywall, Pro Maintenance and Flooring and Del’s Garden Center.
